Clinton Cretcher, AMFT
For the past five years I worked in school-based mental health with preteens and teens. Progress didn't always show up session to session — it showed up in the moment a client could look back and see how far they'd come. That felt genuinely human to me, and moving into private practice feels like a natural extension of that work.
I know what it's like to sit in a therapist's office and sometimes not see yourself in it. Growing up biracial, I never quite saw myself reflected in mental health spaces, and for a long time in my own therapy I was going through the motions rather than actually showing up. That changed when I found the right therapist — someone who made me feel recognized as a full person while still pushing me in the ways that actually matter. That's how I try to show up for the clients I work with.
